She began her education at Deyiyandara Central College and Pallawela Maha Vidyalaya. And later attending St. Thomas Girls’ High School, Matara. She also holds a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2002. She pursued higher education at Sri Jayewardenepura University, completing a Bachelor’s degree in 2017, and later earned her Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Kelaniya in 2021. She earned an LLB (Bachelor of Law) from The Buckinghamshire New University, England UK in 2021. She studied the Masters of Law (LLM) in Public law and Human Rights at Buckinghamshire New University, England UK in 2022.
